Pupil Premium

The school receives a Pupil Premium for each child who is entitled to receive Free School Meals or has been entitled to receive Free School meals over the last five years; and for any Looked After Children. The intended effect of this funding is to accelerate progress and raise attainment. Also to ensure that the children who qualify for Free School meals are not disadvantaged. It is for schools to decide on how this is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual.

If your child does not have Free School Meals, but may be eligible because of your family’s income level, please contact the office (in confidence) who will help you with this. Even if you do not wish them to have the meals, this would mean the school could still claim Pupil Premium funding that may be used to help your child in the ways mentioned above.
